C.A.R.E.S. includes an optional Companion — an AI assistant that answers questions about using C.A.R.E.S. and about what is recorded in your account, such as scheduled medications, tasks and appointments.
Its answers come from the records in your account and from help content. They are not medical conclusions or advice.
People make the decisions
Anything important should be reviewed by a person. Decisions about care are always made by people, never by the AI.
Not a diagnosis
Nothing the Companion says is a diagnosis or clinical advice. For anything medical, speak to your GP, a pharmacist or NHS 111.
The Companion can make mistakes
The Companion answers from the information recorded in your account and is built to decline medical questions — but like every AI assistant it can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. For anything medical speak to your GP, a pharmacist or NHS 111, and in an emergency always call 999.
The photo check is a suggestion, not identification
The medication photo check compares appearance against your own reference photos. It can be wrong and cannot tell apart similar-looking medications. Always check the label before taking anything, and ask your pharmacist or Care Circle if unsure.
No harmful automated decisions
The platform will not make fully automated harmful decisions without human review.
